What is the Annapolis Gallery Association?

Members are Annapolis Galleries featuring original works of art by artists - local, national and international.

Where are the galleries located?

Annapolis was recently voted one of the nations top ten most "walkable cities". The galleries are in downtown historic Annapolis. Most are within an easy three block walking area. See map.

What kind of art is shown?

All kinds! Member galleries feature traditional classic styles of art as well as contemporary and abstract. You will find a great variety of paintings from marine to wildlife to landscape and still life. Many galleries have fine sculpture, art glass, wood turning, pottery, or jewelry. Additional services available are: art consultation, custom framing, appraisals and art restoration.

When is the Art Walk?

The Art Walk is held once a year. It is the third Thursday evening in August.

What if it rains on the day of the Art Walk?

The show must go on rain or shine!

Is there a charge for the Art Walk?

No. It is a free event

Where do I start the Art Walk?

You may start at any gallery you wish. All the galleries will have maps to guide you to all the others.
If you park at Gotts Court Garage the closest galleries are Whitehall and 49 West Cafe & Gallery on West Street.
If you park at the Hillman Garage, the closest galleries are Main Street Gallery(on Main St) and Easy Street(on Francis St).

From Washington DC:
Take Route 50 East. Take Exit 24 onto Rowe Blvd. Then follow the Art Walk Map to Garage Parking and the Galleries.

From Baltimore, MD:
Take the Baltimore Beltway to I 97 South. Exit onto Route 50 East. Take Exit 24 onto Rowe Blvd. Then follow the Art Walk Map to Garage Parking and the Galleries.

From the Eastern Shore:
Take Route 50 West. Take Exit 24 onto Rowe Blvd. Then follow the Art Walk Map to Garage Parking and the Galleries.

Is the Art Walk open for children?

Yes, children enjoy watching the artists work and the artists enjoy interacting with families.
