The Annapolis Gallery Association is pleased to announce its 29th Annual Annapolis Art Walk to be held Thursday evening August 15 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  The public is invited to join us in a festive evening enjoying the visual arts.  Fifteen galleries in downtown historic Annapolis are participating in this annual event, hosting new art exhibits and featuring artists demonstrating their skills in various media. There will be musicians around town and the galleries will be serving light refreshments.  Yellow balloons and a yellow banner are posted at all participating galleries. Maps will be available at each art gallery.

Here is your chance to peek over an artist’s shoulder and watch them at work!  Artists working in oil, watercolor, ceramics, woodturning, sculpture, jewelry, handcrafts and more, will be demonstrating their skills at the Annapolis Art Walk. It promises to be an enjoyable summer evening for art lovers.

Add this event to your summer calendar of “must do” activities.  Annapolis is always a fun place to visit and the added attraction of events like the Annual Annapolis Art Walk only enhance its reputation as a city that is a joy to experience.

The Annapolis Blue Circulator Trolley gives free (again!) rides around Annapolis. It has regular stops and will also stop for you if you 'hail' it .

Annapolis is a Top 25 Arts Destination as designated by American Style Magazine. The Annapolis Gallery Association hopes to make the public aware of the diversity and quality of art in this growing center for the arts.  Over recent years the artist community in Annapolis has expanded rapidly, spurred by the number of visitors to the city and also by the increased number of art galleries.  While traditional water and boating scenes are still big favorites, area artists in growing numbers are expressing their creativity through a wide variety of subject matter, styles and art mediums.

Annapolis: Voted A Top Ten Most Walkable City
What a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay as you walk down Main Street!  Sailboats are cruising on bright blue water on the horizon while yachts, catamarans, rubber dinghies and workboats are moored or circling City Dock. The brick streets are lined with quaint historic buildings and unique locally owned shops and restaurants.

Parking is recommended at the Hillman Garage off Main Street, the Gotts Court Garage off Calvert Street or Northwest Street (behind the Visitors Center) the Knighton Garage at Colonial Drive and West Street or the Bladen Street Garage on St. Johns Street. The Annapolis City Parking map is helpful for visitors unfamiliar with garage locations. The Bladen Street Garage (19 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD 21401) is Free after 6pm and on weekends; however, for the Art Walk evening, attendees can enter the garage at 6:00pm.

This is a Rain or Shine event.
